Shan Ali TV News – 8th May, 2019) The Session Court in Lahore has accepted Pakistani singer Meesha Shafi’s petition to change judge hearing defamation case against Meesha Shafi.

Session Courts Judge Arif Nawaz has been ordered to immediately shift Singer and Actor Ali Zafar’s defamation case against Meesha shafi to the another court.

Session courts judge said it the court will soon decide about this case.

The case has now been transferred to Additional Session couts Judge Amjad Ali Shah.

Judge Amjad ali shah will hear the case on May 11, 2019.

Singer Meesha Shafi had filed an no confidence application in the additional district court judge with the session courts judge for being biased towards the co-star.

Meesha shafi had alleged that Additional District court Judge Shakeel Ahmad is exhibiting prejudice during the hearing and requested it the case, consequently, be transferred to the another court.

The petition stated that the court judge has shown an clear and obvious bias in favour of the plaintiff which is apparent from the mode and manner in which he has so far conducted the proceedings.

The legal team claimed that the judge’s bias was visible since the hearings began but it was further confirmed after the serious impropriety displayed by him on the April 27, 2019 during the cross examination of the 1st witness of the plaintiff by counsels for the defendant.

(The defendant does not have any confidence that the learned court judge will be able to impartially and fairly proceeding in that case and hence desires to the transfer her above mentioned case to the another court of competent jurisdiction,) the petition read.

It noticed that the court judge had (advised the witnesses not give long answers as he may contradict himself or he may prejudice his own stance).

Meanwhile, Supreme Court will hear pakistani singer Meesha Shafi’s petition in the defamation case filed by Co-actor and singer Ali Zafar on theMay 9, 2019, Thursday.

In the April 2018, Singer Meesha Shafi had accused Ali Zafar of harassing her on more than one occasion.

Singer and co-actor Ali Zafar had been filed 1 billion Rupees defamation case under the Defamation Ordinance 2002, after being accused of the harassment. Ali Zafar denied all allegations levelled against him in a statement by singer Meesha Shafi.
